    Outstanding news Steam is just what the game needs.

    This was tried before there are some issues that need to fixed this go around with Steam implementation.

    1. Allow their launcher to be able to open multiple clients 
    2. Papaya and steam creds should SYNC or at least a backup be made available to papaya. 
    3. Allow steam players to buy direct from papaya play as well
    4. (Most important) Allow steam players some sort of way to transfer their character to papaya in the event steam support is no longer available. 


    I wish I could be there but that's my expected month of delivery... I miss you guys

    1. Never gonna happen, Steam does not allow multiple games to be run at once.
    2/3/4. You log in with your Papaya creds, Steam will only be a middleman.

    Based on that atleast.

    But for 1, considering you still use a Papaya account if a player gets invested enough they can just run the game outside Steam for multiple clients since your profile is still linked to Papaya and not to Steam.

    I played through Steam before the wipe. I ran two toons together with no problem. To start the second toon you just closed the Steam launcher (cntrl-alt-del). I never tried 3 however.

    If you have a Steam account put up a review for UWO.

    The main fix papaya needs is to fix the server from lagging and dcing people. If that issue is mpt fixed it will turn alot of people away.

    I wonder what's up with that cause I never get kicked off the server or have lag, I wonder where their servers are anyway. I'm going to guess they have servers in the US & in Paris based of what information I get from the ip that uwo.papayaplay.com runs at.

    Which could mean why I don't have many issues since I don't live that far away from France.

    Ive been hounding the GMs to get UWO released on Steam (and maybe elsewhere too but im not pushing it) for months, and it seems to have payed off. I do have to give credit to boo who came up with the idea first, but it was a good one enough that I submitted it. Im hoping this will bring a new influx of players in. I wish this would have come sooner then in December though better late then never I guess.

    Good news! Seems like now would be the time to fix server disconnect- and new player experience - problems before the Steam launch and hopefully new player batch incoming...

    Been a couple days now, we got an average of 100 players on Steam since the launch. Not bad :)

    That's 100 more potential traders to sink >:)

    I decided to play steam again,but I had to create new email because current one was already takenby my 2nd Papaya account. Oh, I realized that I need productions ,so I created Luiza_Joseph ,Portuguese toon, who will be my Blacksmith,Tailor, and Handicrafts so that she can focus on ship parts as well as I need her to get sbing so that she can build ships in Portugal territory cities for me. Ofc, I will take care of rest since I soon will be r20 sber ,but I still have some boost items, though.

    I will create 2 more later.

    Handicrafts/Tailor/Caster/maybe Alchemist will focus equipment

    Patissier will focus on mostly cooking ie vigour foods.
