Any goals you're working towards?

Just like the title says, working on anything in particular at the moment? :D

Myself I'm giving it my best shot ravaging the 7 seas (mostly East Asia though)  and working on rare plunder requests to earn a small penny for my Dream Warship piggy bank.

Just following the updated storyline and raising shipwrecks now. No particular set goals.

    Good seeing ya again Boo.

Currently I am(finally) charting all the seas and collecting some pet-related info in the process. I probably should have done it sooner, but thought I'd wait to try out the Cartographer's 2nd job skill. It gives 20% more completion toward charting progress, so it helps a little bit at least!

I'm working towards charting all sea and land regions.  At the moment, I'm focusing on doing the quests necessary to unlock all of the inland regions.  The 14 quests including sailing halfway around the world multiple times to unlock Rapa Nui were particularly painful.  My preparations to visit Avalon, El Dorado, and Atlantis (I didn't go the first two times) are about complete.  I've already covered Tenochtitlan, Cusco, and Machu Picchu.  I won't be able to work on Xanadu for a while since I haven't started biology yet.

I have about 20 inland regions left to cover.  I'm not sure how to get Amazon Inland or Paraguay.  There's nothing on ivyro or the wiki beyond something about getting an item for charting them.  I suspect that they are like the Siberian Plains and open up after progressing with land investigations.

I've pretty much defected from trade to adventure at this point, though I might still go on the occasional Nanban run.  I might be closing in on the point where I can competitively attempt to take on the academy.

I've also recently gotten started in the worlds of alchemy and astronomy.

I should get around to refining my remaining production skills at some point.

Hi. If you are referring to the Academy Debate event in the above post - please don't feel like you need to have a complete or close to complete catalogue of discoveries to partake. Of course it helps, but it is combos, strategy and some luck that often determine who comes out on top.

Just to give you an example - I once tied for top spot with a mere 460ish discoveries to my name at the time. Close to 200 of those were ports. So it's possible to do well with a modest amount.

Though I think more than that - the event is just a fun time for adventurers to hang out and compare notes, so to speak.

Also, I can't recall now which quest/map allowed me into the Amazon/Paraguay river upstream zones. It may well have been Biology related. You can try use the 'Take quest by destination' option at the mediators and you might have some luck.

I'll probably give the Academy Debate a try the next time it comes around.  I don't have nearly as many discoveries as someone who started out focusing on trade with a secondary focus on maritime at the very beginning, but I could probably put together a strong deck.  I'll have to check the spreadsheet, but I probably have a fair amount of combos.  I'll just need to figure out my deck in advance of the next Academy Debate.  At this point I might be a bit too specialized in card type, so luck would probably play a larger factor.

It's good to know that those two inland areas probably require quests.  I guess I'll just try to do all of the adventure quests I can from Rio/Lima/Portobelo/Santo Domingo when I get around to it.  I'll also try investigating all land areas in South America.

The sniping/gunfire grind is next in line for me after the adventure stuff and production skill grind.
