  What is a Great Pirate Crest worth?  I have a couple and don't want to be a pirate.

  If 50K is 50,000, does that mean that a Great Pirate Crest should be offered at 

  50M or 50,000,000, or do I misunderstand the meaning of 50M?

   50,000,000 seems like a lot for a crest, but I'm not sure how rare and valuable these crests are.

  Any additional insight would be appreciated.

  Correct, 50m is 50,000,000. 

  Some crests are fairly rare, as example the great pirate crest used to be only accessible for pirates.

  Funny thing is that most of the players using the 'pirate' crests are not pirates. They just use em because they think its cool.

  I am guilty of the panel thing. But I like the Porto blue....
  I love seeing a fleet of Clermonts with the pirate crests. It is like a beacon calling the pirate!

  I do believe their function should be to symbolize what you stand for. It gives people a mental boost in some way. That's also why I suggested elsewhere on the forum to make company related crests. That would bring even more unity between companies, befriend/allied companies and countries as soon as ppl see the crest, they know what u stand for.

  
  

  Picking crests for their beauty or "coolness" is often seen indeed, but it takes away their purpose as a symbol of identification. It's a shame indeed I agree.
