RMG vs LLM speed test

Tested RMG against LLM, both ships are G6 with all stats maxed (except hold), with SSU123, with same sails (except that RMG uses 2 sails and LLM uses 3), 4/0 plates, advanced sprit and spanker, wood panels, all 4 oxford speed boosts, WW and 50% speed booster.

Bilbao to Porto on autosail:
RMG 5:51
LLM 6:00

Porto to Boston:
RMG 8:55
LLM 8:52

Boston to Porto:
RMG 7:28
LLM 7:33

Round the map voyage from Hobart all the way around to Hobart at 7020 latitude:
RMG 40:20 top speed 24.78
LLM 42:29 top speed 24.13

    Idk what Porto you went to, but I tried auto sail Bilbao > Porto and did it with 2:43.

    Ah did that with 6:36,

    VW/SSU123/Oxford 1/2/3/4. No additional speed boosters.

    FS Susan Constant +25% but empty hold.

    Mine were with full cargo hold of supplies filled at each stop. I hope the next ship race is medium length so I can test them better.

    Great test wes.
    I keep hearing that the RMG is fast as or faster than the LLM but these results have been the first data to suggest it.
    I still have yet to see one faster than my LLM but there are many variables.
    One question: were you using EA on the LLM?

    1. what does LLM, RMG, ssu123 and WW stand for?
    2. what is the fastest ship in the game thus far?

    and what's the value of 1 uwc in ducats?

    SSU123 = ship speed up 1/2/3 (skill given by grading the ship)
    WW = Wanderers Wear (adds extra sailing speed)
    VW = Vagrant's Wear (also add extra sailing speed)

    LLM = Light La Mort
    RMG = Refited Maltese Galley
