not a serious suggestion. Cities I'd love to see ...

Madrid, the capital of Spain
Vienna, the capital of the HRE (modern day Austria) although i guess Frankfurt is good enough.
Prague, the capital of Bohemia (modern day Czech Republic)
Warsawa, the capital of Poland
a Large city in Ethiopia!
a Large city in India (but not necessary, there are plenty on cities to visit!)
Budapest and Bucharest, the capitals of Hungary and Romania respectively.
A Large city in the Congo
A Large inland city in Persia
Make Reykjavik a town or supply port! (Iceland)

but top three ... Madrid, Warsaw, Ethiopian City

    well, this IS a historical game that covers from the late 1500's to the late 1800's, so many inland areas especially in Africa, Asia and the America's) weren't even explored yet. As the game progresses though, we've been getting more and more expansion on the globe (railway across America, Euphrates region etc...). When this game first started there wasn't even a Pacific Ocean! lol

    How about Baku, Azerbaijan? Couple it with a new Caspian Sea zone that is accessible via a canal (e.g., Volga) or Caucasus land zone?

    For Vienna & Budapest, I could agree @itspyrrus, but Danube River must be "opened" first (could replace Bucharest with Belgrade instead)
