What is the best (i.e. easiest) way to grind Fire Fighting?

Hey everyone. Does anyone know of a relatively weak NPC fleet
somewhere that shoots fireshot? I’m trying to grind Fire Fighting but keep
getting my a$$ kicked by the Caribbean Buccaneer Fleets. They're too powerful for
me in melee combat, which the runt ship in their fleet always wants to engage in for some reason.

I remember encountering one other fleet in the Baltic Sea that used fireshot, but I can't recall the fleet name. Any suggestions?

    Thats not a skill i believe many 'grind'. I would think it would act the same regardless of rank.

    Genoa Merchant fleets or NPCs in West/South Africa use fire cannons.

    I assume you're grinding so you can use it to put out Great Fires

    Well the best ways I know 

    1. As Lyon said genoa merchant fleet. Sit at edge drop anchor  then position your ship to take crits
    2. Cook recipes that aren't two ranks above your current rank it has a very high chance of fire and ingredients are cheap. Fireproof hull skill recommended 

    Both of these methods are good for grinding repair as well. #1 is a better method but #2 will allow you to grind cooking too so it's up to you.

    A nice way to do this is taking the imperial quest called "Wipe out the Caribbean pirates" from your nations consul in Santiago. Be sure to bring lots of Timber, and don't equip any rare sails, plates you have because they will get destroyed in the fight. Then sail around east of Portobelo in the West Caribbean Sea until your ambushed by 10 Battle Galleons. Quickly head to the edge battle ring with your bow and stern pointed away from the battle and are inward. Just stay there and keep using firefighting whenever you catch fire. This quest is also great to grind repair, first aid, and evasion too. If your still having trouble keeping afloat, consider getting a fleet member or two to assist you with it. Ask around in your company or in world chat if there's anyone also willing to help grind repair, firefighting, evasion, and/or first aid.

    Blake's way is great for fire fighting and evasion, cannon grind.

    Sorry for the slow response. I just wanted to thank you guys for all the great tips. I actually ended up going back to the Caribbean and letting the Buccaneer fleets whale on me using the same method that a lot people use for grinding the various cannon skills. I was able to grind Evasion up to 9 and FF to 7 with little effort.
