Docks size

I've read that docks are supposed to hold 5-6 ships. Yet so far I only have 2 spots for only 1 of my chars (English), and don't see a way to expand it as the docks manager shows no option to take my POs/money. Does it depend on the development of national colonies? Like, to have 1 space, it needs to be 40k/40k/40k. How much exactly is required for 2, 3, 4, 5 spaces?

    They sell a dock expansion certificate in the shop. I think 5 is the max it can end up holding.

    Size doesn't always matter. You need to learn how to accept the dock size you have and play around with it accordingly. There is currently nothing in the cash shop to help.

    It'd take some hard gene editing to go from a dock to docks. Besides, the docks manager is supposed to sell docks enlargements for 40-something PAs (not POs) and 5m ducats, however I'm trying to figure out the requirements for this to be available.
