What are the steps to get alchemy skill??

Help! I've been trying to get alchemy skill for one of my toons for weeks now and I don't seem to be any closer. I've spent days getting the adventure fame to 30k, took a day to get handicrafts to r13, done the few quests I could find that seemed to be related, but I'm kind of stuck. I can't get the Learning from Paracelsus quest or even really know for sure if I've done all the pre-quests, and there are not really any good guides available for getting the skill. If anyone can shine some light on this situation I would appreciate it. thanks in advance!

    you've got to be shittin me if that's all it takes. I've been busting my ass trying to get a alchemist endorsement so I can get the skill. But I need the job as well as the skill, so not sure if that would do it.

    Ya i waited over a year since the start of the server because i thought i had to go through all these pre quests which all require over r10 skills. Gazi pointed out that i could just get the skill diect. Doh!

    It's still recommended to try to get the skill through Alchemist job because trying to grind it when it's not favoured, even during a skill prof boost event is...  insane lol. The first quest and it's subsequent pre-quests to get the job is listed on Ivyro. If your having trouble pulling them, it helps to have the languages. And if your not having any luck trying to pull them at one port, move to another where it can be found. Whatever path you take, cheers and good luck on it.

    I followed Ivyro and had no problem. But it was 6 months ago and I don't recall the steps now. But I agree with Blake. Getting the job is a must because exp steps are tiny. I think it's worth buying those special QMP's when going after job quests. Just don't use them until you are sure you meet the requirements on Ivyro. Also Blake is right about language. I temporarily picked up one - Latin I think.
