Ok, ok, i know you guys, at least the HGMs tend to prefer to use discord but as long as you have a forum you should at least care a little bit about it.

Warrock got released on steam and there are new players trying to get the game running, looking for answers and solutions for the problems they encounter. And they are left behind and their questions remain unseen and unanswered for days. In many cases other players provide the answer a few days after the one looking for help created the topic.

We all know Warrock has plenty of problems but that's ok. I would love to understand how do you expect to keep a new player in the game when he asks for a solution / help because launching Warrock on steam automatically changes his keyboard layout to english while ignoring his preset language setup?

There are countless topics / questions here and at the steam discussions section of Warrock and most of them remain unanswered.

I might be mistaken but it is really a smart move to release a problem loaden game on steam while not even providing a minimum support for those people you want to attract, win for and keep in the game?

No, come to discord is not a proper answer if you have and keep a forum. If you keep a forum you (Papaya) not only should, you must have at least one HGM looking for unanswered questions and players looking for help every day. Anything else is nothing but a huge "We do not give a f*ck about you"-sign pointed at the ones you desperately want to win for the game.


And yes, i did try the steam version of Warrock. But i uninstalled it after facing the language setup change problem, seeing that the servers are still empty while the HGMs still think there are tons of players so the new ones asking for help can remain not taken care of. Would you keep and play a game that had it's release delayed due to problems for months when it still has problems like changing you language setup plus not providing any help/solutions for your questions?

At least i can not answer that question with "yes".

    The change of keyboard language has happened ever since the game was released, at least I have suffered from the "issue" since 2007, just get used to it, it's not that big of a deal, and I see many more issues that are a lot more severe than this, and if you are truly lost, look up the layout of an american keyboard, and see what key is where.

    1. The problem is a steam-launcher only problem. Using the Papaya-launcher does not change the the keyboard language. And that is certainly not a" since 2007" problem since i had it only once (when papaya took over from nexon) during those roughly 10 years that i played the game. ;)

    2. If you read my topic again you might notice that i do not talk about the problems in detail . My concern / problem is that Papayas HGMs do not care about the forum despite the fact that there are players looking for help. And no player, regardless if it is a huge or a minor problem, should have to wait for days to get at least a "we have noticed you" answer.

    1. This has happened to me since 2007, no matter the publisher, on a danish keyboard layout, other language layouts might've been spared due to heavy similarities to the US setup, or some other unknown factor, but for the danes, this problem has been present with every single publisher of 'global' War Rock, ever.  

    2. Never disagreed with any of it, in fact I totally agree, I simply provided an answer to one of the issues you DID bring up, in one of your examples.

    The keyboard layout usually changes to a random one you have installed, most of the time the very last one in your list.

    WR is in a free fall after G1 gave it up, no wonder people are losing hope after 6 years of pure disappointment.
