Yes they are available and they are rare discoveries so there is no option other than keep trying. Try thief research 1 which makes finding hidden rooms easier.
Is there a guide on which dungeon (upper, middle, lower) guide.
to kill npc or open trap or open box to enter hidden room or is there time limit?
After 3 days of trying, i totally give up. The dungeon discovery is the shitty i ever play for uncharted water. Papaya should at least put a guide on the dungeon even if the rate is just 5%. But 3 days, i play, it as good as 0%.
I did saw someone (in chinese) about leshan buddha upper floor, (DO NOT KILL NPC, only trap). I did that over 10 time, and i has never enter hidden room once.
I am not an expert in dungeons, but I usually just kill all the NPCs as fast as possible. And as I mentioned, try getting thief job with boston research skill from building 2. Also, what is your dungeon exploration rate? at 500 and 1000 you will obtain titles that I believe also help you with finding hidden rooms easier.
The hidden rooms in EA rely on your RELIC HUNTER title and now they made it easier with the boston research. Still there are tricks to all of them. Waiting times before you kill NPC's, tricks with torches, etc.

I just started doing my dungeon discoveries, and I remember in Gama it took me forever on many of them. I am currently chasing The Annals of Thutmose the 3rd in Luxor. 50 runs s far.
@technoxx dungeon discoveries are generated randomly. There are 2 was you can trigger secret rooms.
1)maritime way, which you have to kill the npc (but i think you need to kill them in certain order to trigger passage). There have been times that i'll kill the npc's and i get secret rooms everytime but other times that i miss them which is why i believe it depends on the order (or possibly the time it takes to clear the floor). I try to leave the boss (highest lvl npc) for each floor as last one to kill.
2)adventure way, which you have to solve the puzzles or trigger the traps in a certain order from the burning braziers (yellow and blue ones are puzzles. red ones are traps). In the EA dungeons you have to match up the puzzle clues with their corresponding clue. Solving the adv way seems to open up secret doors pretty much every time. However, some dungeons you have to do a series of successful puzzle/trap/boss kills to trigger the secret doors but this mostly happens in dungeons that have many floor per lvl (example. you have to be successful in correct order on first and seconds floors to trigger secret passage on 3rd fl etc.).
I've tried this quite a few times now in many of the dungeons and there seems to be a pattern to it which works everytime. But the secret rooms seems to be geared to how find them (yellow, blue, red braziers or boss kill). When i just kill the npcs i tend to get the large npc fight rooms most times but when i solve the puzzles i get a lot more interesting rooms. Sometimes even just solving 1or2/3 puzzles will influence which rooms come available it seems but it might all just be random. This is from the non EA dungeons perspective.
As for EA dungeons, I've mostly done Azuchi and that was back on OGP. Doing the puzzles, I was successful a few times but since doing the puzzles takes more time i didn't really focus on it so much and just killed everything. I did get secret passages a few times there but can't remember how i generated them. Here on Maris i haven't done any of the EA dungeons yet except for Buddah and i haven't tried the adv way yet. I do know that EA discoveries are much harder to generate than other dungeons so keep at it and good luck.
The non EA guide, has been tested and working, hence i put as non EA.
EA wasn't include, cos i still finding what are the options which i still figuring out. What u say are azuchi etc, i been through, probably more than u (just to farm 1 helm map from boss). At point of EA dungeon, I not sure if there people who already got the disc (but atm, only empty talk)
Currently, what i has confirmed is, it is a 3 room discovery (assumption).
@ FSD upper floor, i has enter more than 50 time hidden rooms.
In this room, no matter how you clear, it will never give disc. So i can only assume, there 2 way to go to 3rd room
i didn't has issue with Simbel dungeon, took me 2 hr to clear all 3 disc. Perhaps, the luck isn't on your side.
For FSD, after trying 100+ run at upper floor, still no discovery. Now attempt to clear FSD all open disc first and retry again (taking it as, discover all fsd disc as pre-requirement)
However, checking with both japan and taiwan. All pointed to same theory, it is a speed clear dungeon to enter REAL hidden room (under 65 sec)
Well, seems this is the way to get the discovery, however, I can never seem to get it done within 1 min
Abu Simbel - Middle (4-8F) Clear the purple torch within 1 minute, open all five treasure chests after defeating all the pirates and get the hidden room.
I get it done, but never in one min. Need a team to get this done.
Even doing it your way never gets me the correct disco room.
Historical Relic - Abu Simbel - Hidden Room - Middle (4-8F) Clear the pink torch within 1 minute, no boxes no killing NPC get the Large hidden room found:
King's obituary
Historical Relic - Abu Simbel Temple Deep (9-15F) hidden room - release pink torches within 5 mins - no kills or boxes
Found:
Mural of Ramesses II
For Statue of Cleopatra, I am using the same method
Correction: will do the same for Mural of Ramesses II
Luxor: Statue of Cleopatra
Historical Relic - Luxor - Hidden Room - Deep (9-15F) Got it Floor 11 with 5 mins wait, used smoke bombs activated all devices got memo - 3 box hidden room - Relic Chaser Title
I clear blue torch in 50sec, Still give me to next room (repeat loop) full of ultra aggressive NPC (go near, immediately engage, 100% impossible to clear torch)
Nvm, probably give up. Cos your post all look like copy, paste. No actual detail on flow and how it actually done.
FSD, do over 200 rounds. Every time, only lead me to 2box (3 torch room), clear within min, only infinite loop of blue torch and aggressive npc. Even if i clear under a min, still repeat in the next shit room.
