The forums seem rather dead but is there still a player base in UWO by chance?

the forums are normally an area to have questions answered or make post with interesting "fyi". right now most people are taking advantage of the final week for the buff. people do regularly check the board, its just not many have issues or much to post right now.

Yeah, many players included myself are too busy with buff event atm. I should have done with rowing grind ,but I didn't expect my step mother's death ,so I had to drove to Louisville (14 hours or so) for funeral and visited my relatives.I stayed there for 4 days then went back to home. However, I took 2 or 3 days off because I was damn too tired to play UWO after I spent walking aka funeral then went out shopping that my body got sort of bruise.

Unfortunately for me, I won't able to refine rowing by end of buff event. Oh well, I plan to work on my rowing grind even after end of buff event.

Hello folks, I want to restart my journey
in UWO but I have couple questions. How active is the UWO community
now? How much of a pay-to-play game is this, like usually how much do
people pay in this game? How useful do the paid item to help you advance
in this game? Also, if there are multiple servers, which one is the
most active one? Which is the most active country? Many thanks guys.

@riceeaterazn  hi rice, welcome to uwo. The game is 10 years old now and many people that still play are on limited time do to rl but there are a regular users that log in and the game can be quite busy at times. As for your question about the 'pay' system... To be honest, you really don't need to spend any money on the game to enjoy it. The highest cost really comes down to if you want to play competitively against others but that's only an option. If you spend enough time in the game, every item that you can get in the cash shop, you can buy in game from other players so you really don't have to spend money if you don't want to. Items don't really help you advance much in the game as much as the activities you do.

As for the server question, there is 1 North American server (Maris) and a couple Asian ones. My advice would be to pick one before you start playing since you can't transfer your characters or accounts between servers but if language is an issue for you then you should probably stick with the NA one.
