Also having 5-10 average FPS with the following specs:

    • i7 6700K @ 4.6Ghz
    • 32gb DDR4 RAM
    • GTX 980 Ti

No overheating is happening. I've messed with nVidia Control Panel settings to no avail.

With the specs that yous mentioned neither of you should have any problem. I have a GTX960 and this game is a joke for it. Try restarting your pc and make sure your drivers are up to date (sometimes long periods of gaming can fill up the VRAM). What operating systems are yous running the game on?

64-bit Windows 10. The 980 Ti has 6gb of VRAM and my last actual restart was less than a week ago. All drivers are updated. I'll restart again and see if it helps. I'll post back results. This game shouldn't be running poorly at all. Even if I was on 5 year old hardware lol.

Are yous trying to run the game at ultra high resolution ex: 4k-8k etc? If so that may explain the issue with your frame drops especially in maps such as Ardeca. Ardeca is one of the worst maps they ever put out on this game and is far from optimized. My GTX960 will be 140+ on any other map but drop to 15-30 fps on Ardeca. If you are running with ultra high resolution try lowering it to see if there is a noticeable difference (like 1080p).

Running in 1080p nothing fancy. This was different; this wasn't a frame drop the game was 5-10 FPS in every area haha.

Restarting my PC fixed it though so people should try that.
