Option for Skill effect simplifies?

Can the skill effect be turned off or simplify?
It might be a side scroll game, but the fancy effect might be too much for my potato laptop to run it smoothly.

    Effects can't be turned off, but you can lower them by going in options and turning the effects down and uncheck the Class Emblem button.

    Thanks for the info, just download this game and I cant seem to patch it.

    Keep showing this error 

    BARY.SPF Update Failed.
    Wrong file size.

    Press O, choose your quality of effects from the 'Effects' slider, and that's it.  Easy peasy.

    Another trick would be going to the LT game folder itself and delete Bary.SPF. (works with any file actually)I use to have this issue on an old PC with permission issues. (A virus modified what levels of access can do what or your not he admin of said PC, that or an unknown factor is at work.)

    LT game folder is at "C:\Games\OGP\La Tale" unless you intentionally changed the install directory during installation.

    might also be your windows? you run win7?
