    The UWO Team will be using the relaunch through Papaya Play as an opportunity to revamp many aspects of PvP Battles, including plundered items and Deck Battle frequency, plus a number of other system rebalances. Due to the technical nature of the relaunch, however, all existing player progress and items from OGP will unfortunately be lost, and the game world/economy will undergo a complete reset.

    That means all we did was for nothing and need to start from scratch. How did you find out they are gonna do a complete reset?

    Thanks for flushing down the toilet 7 years of UWO global server history, both team and personal advancements; invested time, money and feelings.

    UWO in the launch will have everyone in school ships. People wont be able to build even galleons.
    The first cash shop ships will probably have things like ROGs and AVs. If you dont pay, you will have to fight against them with xebecs.

    Adventure? Good luck with that. Ports like India/EA and canals wont be accessible. For a long while.

    ESF? BC? It was already pretty hard to convince people with the proper levels and gear to do them.
    Now? 0 chance.

    If you wanted to give incentive to new players, there were many other ways.

    Thanks for taking this great decision without any knowledge about the game.

    I know. For you this is only business. But for many of us this was something more.

    They took the lazy step. 

    If it flourishes then great. 
    but they ain't having any of my money,
    i spent £140 last month and i have zero to show for it! true many spent thousands but at least they got a few years of fun out of the money they spent.

    And i am no more confident the game will still be around in another 6 months.

    In order to show appreciation for prior player progress and achievements, the UWO Team is offering all legacy OGP players exclusive tiered Founders Rewards, containing various boosts, support items, and Shipbuilding parts, to help launch the next chapter of high seas adventures. All players who complete the Transfer Service will receive their Founders Rewards upon logging in to UWO for the first time when the game relaunches on October 18th, 2017 (PDT). To complete the Transfer Service, simply follow the steps linked above to connect your OGP ID to Papaya Play.

    Frozen, that is not going to be close to replacing what ive lost.

    And also this level playing field is gone already because those returning are getting extra boosts and parts. 

    again....papaya took the lazy route.

    will look over these"rewards" but likely will give up. 5 1/2 yrs hard work down the drain  .

    They are tiered rewards too, so meaning those that have either player longer or have higher levels or skills will receive more boosts/items than those with less time on the game and less lvls/skills.

    So basically this level playing field that all these "lets wipe the server" people were crying out for is nothing but BS!


    Those players will still have an instant advantage on the rest! No level playing field has occurred at all.

    All the wipe has accomplished is saving ogp and papaya a bit of work. 

    And as regards the pvp and DB being improved, well did we need a wipe for that? nope. easily done in a patch.

    If this is true, they just screwed the game up badly and the community too.

    If they are do decide things without asking the community for input, what is the point of the forum? It comes across as a pretense.

    If it is complete reset, that is just crazy, no amount of compensation can cover the time, effort,and money for over a number of years, in my case 5 years. How can any vets come back with everyone a new player?

    We are not being given enough information either.

    This is just what every one feared.

    Would it go over better if the called it a leveller playing field? Nothing is ever perfect and no field would ever be level for long, even if it was at first. I'm going to roll with the changes and show you swabs how it's done. If you're not seaman enough to take up the challenge, it's time to sit by the fire in your rocking chair mate!

    Guy 2:Seems complicated, I can't figure it out in the 2 minutes I looked at it.
    Guy 1: So what do we do? All these fools are posting all this stuff already, and did you see that code?
    Guy 2: Yeah, this is some crazy shit. You know, lets just wipe it and let them start over. We advertise, get some new suckers, it'll be fine. Worked with that last one right?

    i want to stay, because i do like the game. 

    But the skills i want on my toon are casting, hc, managment and high wares trading. 
    those are the basic skills i want for my main, and i've just spent the whole past month maxing and refining those skills. 

    Now i must have a new toon, and i want those skills again, but i have no desire to start that grind again. 

    So i don't know if to bother returning. 

    The loss of money i can handle....although i feel robbed...i feel like i've bought something of ebay that never arrived.

    We talk of pirates....well sorry @nellemus, but u ain't the pirate king....OGP are.

    Goodbye everyone.  I will miss the game, and I will miss each and every one of you.  I am grieving over this.  7 years of levels, ships, and work, down the toilet.  I will not start over.  When I verify that the game has been wiped, I shall uninstall and you will never see me again.

    Seriously though, I feel sick, 4 years down the drain, built a company, for nothing. I really don't think I want to do all that again. Unless their legacy reward includes all my 2400+ discoveries, all my ships, all the real money I spent, the full colony I built, all the gear I worked so hard to find, I'm done. I may log mamacat in just to see what they did, but it won't be for long. Thanks for nothing papaya, I hope you lose your shirt on this game.

    I think you better give more information quickly to exactly what will happened, or this game will be soon dead, most of the people in this game will be quite upset I think. Long term players.

    This is issue of trust too.

    What are the rewards for logging a new Character and willing to spend years playing Uncharted Water Online.I am sure people will want to know.

    Many games and many things to do in this world.

    I had my own colony with level 3 shipyard. Plus an awesome AFCV. It sucks but nobody else will have more than you. not much anyway.
