The Player Community needs to convince Development to Stop the Wipe

This is not ok guys where all on the brink of disaster. I already suffer from depression and UWO helped aliviate some of that. WE can't just complain about the wipe we need to contact Vertigo games pay money , push the rerelease out further anything! I heard they did this on other games too killed the player base I got a feeling the wipe didn't happen yet but i think we only have till friday. Everyone, don't accept this this is mmo murder. I already contacted Vertigo games I hope to hear back from them tommorrow I am prepared to pay them to slavage my toons Richard_the_Red and Notorious BIG.

    if ur character data was already deleted they won't be able to recover it and its a wipe they aren't going to change that maybe this relaunch with all the changes their going to make could cause a corruption if the server isn't wiped so i leave it to the experts of the game to decide what is best for them as a business and a gaming company. they can always find more players this game is very popular there will never be a shortage of new players to fill ur place if u leave, and this is a global server unlike china, korea, taiwan and japan servers gama covers all other nations without a dedicated server, so cry all u want beg even they won't revive ur character for this wipe maybe this wipe was contractual by KOEI with papayaplay

    I plan on just sitting in a large port like Seville and strike. I refuse to play without being on my main character. A few hundred players all sitting down at once and none giving them real money, yup they will notice.

    no they wont LZ they will not even care, because u are a few hundred compared to thousands of players that play on the GAMA server. that have the language barrier i have no seen a single other language comment on this forum where are all the portuguese speaking players or the indonesians, how about the dutch, or the french all i have seen here is the english speaking players the few that do talk on world chat or in merchant chat.  sadly the english players make up about 20% of the player population on GAMA

    krazybastib, You are right to feel the way that you do. This event is unsettling for everyone involved. Some people will be affected more than others. I'm sad for you. Richard_the_Red will not go forgotten. He battled me and didn't quit. He pulled all the stops and made a great night out of it. Now we both get to start on the same level on the 18th of this month. I hope you will be there.

    Here's the contact info page for Papayaplay. The more players write or call to complain, the more likely they might re-consider.

    However, I fear that data might have already been well erased. Typically, once something is wiped clean and gone... it's gone. However, Im not holding my breath on that until someone from Papayaplay can get back to us, and I have yet to see any staff member post...

    it's already deleted OGP did this not Papaya they took the money and ran and shut down everything in 7 days. Even if Papaya wanted to save the data they can't they already said it was deleted.  all the protesting should have been done when OGP was in power but that was almost impossible as they announced complete dismantling within 7 days which is not long enough to respond to anything. OGP f*cked us not Papaya but I'm not quitting CPC not a quitter

All previous player invested time and contributions to Uncharted Waters are very important to our team, and in order to receive your Founders Rewards, you must transfer your ID to Papaya Play through the provided transfer service

    I refuse to belive it CPC. I guess I'll know for sure October 18th or an official statement from Papaya that they did the wipe not that there 'going to do the wipe'.

    Unfortunately, your character progress and inventory will not be moved as part of the Transfer Service. The Transfer Service will designate your account as a ‘Founder’ Uncharted Waters account, which will entitle you to Founders Rewards and other special perks following the relaunch on Papaya Play.

     Unless Papaya Play is lying about our data, then it is already too late and a strike is futile. Maybe the data is gone, but only because Papaya Play refused OGP's offer to give them or sell them the data.We will probably never know which company is truly responsible for the lost data (if it is lost).

    The UWO Team will be using the relaunch through Papaya Play as an opportunity to revamp many aspects of PvP Battles, including plundered items and Deck Battle frequency, plus a number of other system rebalances. Due to the technical nature of the relaunch, however, all existing player progress and items from OGP will unfortunately be lost, and the game world/economy will undergo a complete reset.

    In order to show appreciation for prior player progress and achievements, the UWO Team is offering all legacy OGP players exclusive tiered Founders Rewards, containing various boosts, support items, and Shipbuilding parts, to help launch the next chapter of high seas adventures. All players who complete the Transfer Service will receive their Founders Rewards upon logging in to UWO for the first time when the game relaunches on October 18th, 2017 (PDT). To complete the Transfer Service, simply follow the steps linked above to connect your OGP ID to Papaya Play.

     There was a goodly number of non-English speakers playing on GAMA. I never saw them in chat, but I saw them on the oceans and in the towns. They also were hosed by this sale.

    That's like trying to play the original Ninja Gaiden on NES.. You finally get to the last level, and then you die. There weren't even any save points, kids are all spoiled these days.. Afterall, you're complaining about a game that's getting upgraded and you can play it for free.. You obviously love the game if you're here, so just get over it.

    The FAQ wording is really too nebulous, and only raises more questions than it answers. Data as important as this would've been backed up, more than once; for it to be truly unrecoverable would imply deliberate destruction. Why, though?

    And despite that loss of data, our login details survived, and will be able to be used with a "tiered" reward system? Despite the fact that everything else is gone? And no, Killa. Action-platformers you can beat in a few hours/days cannot really be compared to a wide open sandbox that people spent years of their time and real life money developing to the point it had reached. The people talking about leaving now clearly had a deep love for this game, but the way they, as well as the game itself are being treated, is the issue here.

    I just can't belive it no response from admins, noobness, frozenruby are you guys papaya staff, What is going on here. I am so pissed right now that I can't sleep. I suggest they push the rerelease out as long as necessary to save player data. What happen with OGP anyway. I missed like almost the last week of play due to a move and I was so happy i reached management r10. I don't know, i already invision myself sailing in a school caravel again. What if I build my charecter up again and in another 4 years Papaya goes under and theres another server wipe . i just can't belive it i mean im calling the company tommorrow i need answers.

    Writing in will do nothing, OGP is dead and gone. I am not so much concerned about skills, but I do not like the loss of a couple of my ships and weapons. This game was doomed on OGP with or without Papaya taking over. We all knew changes had to be made, the problem is the game will still likely be dead in a year or so. Younger players do not have the patience and now us older players do not have the time to regrind, rechart, and rediscover stuff that will just be boring and unappealing a second time. I am using the next couple weeks to decide whether or not I am going to take the game back up. I do not like the idea of charting again to reopen the northern passages. No one will be able to enter St Petersburg or San Francisco. Colonies are too much of a pain to try and build back up to a SY3 with companies that will most likely lose most of their current members. Frozen's idea of massive amounts of people waiting in the wings to play is delusional. Younger players are too impatient and many are no longer being taught basic things such as the geography of this game. It is yet to be seen if unnerfing piracy and DB will add value or just turn into a way for players to bully and grieve other players. Hopefully, the Founder rewards are actually valuable, Only 2 weeks to go.

    yes my imaginary players waiting to join remember this is all speculation as to what the future holds non of us can predict it or foresee it we can all bicker and complain and cry and post stuff thats never going to happen. so yes maybe the wipe will bring back players maybe it wont u do know i don't know nobody knows, thats what makes the future so fun. not knowing whats to come

    Frozen ruby got the wipe she desperately wanted.    one minute its few players now its thousands  i think you are just a troll     but good luck on an empty server   very few who have put time and money into this game will restart from scratch.   no founders chest can replace what we have lost

    Barely anyone chat in Dekaron nowadays...
    I miss the days in 2moon too
    Until now, Dekaron still hasn't build up population, most just go for it's private server as they dislike how the official runs for it.

    I respect what your doing but you should be looking for OGP  because Papaya  cant restore from no source data OGP   destroyed it or ran off with it.   If you can track them down you can possibly get them to give it but they closed down so this will be hard hun...


    Go find OGP they deleted or may still have our data   find them  not Papaya.  As referenced below they have NO data restore the  server to what it was.  Im sorry :(

    Who else do you you need to say it?  Papaya said it themselves  the screenshot is above it speaks for itself and I provided a link to Papaya statement it is what it is.  im not saying stop fighting  Im saying go after the people  who slid off into the darkness  in 7 days without a trace THATS who you need to find.

    You should know me by now im not the type to sugar coat anything I give people  the real and i dont care what people think.  The data gone babes...and you got the official word from Papaya  themselves confirming it the only people not here providing answers that actually HAVE the answers is OGP  find them but all Im saying it should have been done when they were open as it will be VERY HARD to find them now :\
