    How about you dont chime in on EVERY post when people post there issues. Your ignorance is starting to upset the community more then the reset itself.

    Here are the facts- people have the right to be upset when they have put in the effort for 7 years. Or invested personal money into the game,and before you try and throw the game user agreement at me, yes maybe it said some catch all in there. But its bullshit with you trying to justify it.
    Your basically saying if someone came along and just took everything you have worked for, for the last 7 years, youd be ok with it.. i highly doubt that.. all your car payments ... house payments.. all wiped and you owe all that money over...

    If your bank account got hacked and and then they left you with basically $0. Youd be upset.

    And for everyone else, i feel your pain... i am upset to but i decided to give it a shot.. no money will be spent though, not again.

    thats good i'm causing more trouble then the wipe so maybe u can complain about me using freedom of speech to voice my opinions on each post how i'm being so blunt and brutal in my posts not being sympathetic to ur blight cry me a river, 

    if my bank account got hacked i'd die of laughter, they stole a whole few cents still in there, as for me being robbed this isn't america where i live not much happens around here so break ins don't happen here. and yes i'd be fine with it its not like it was anything that can't be recovered. house is already fully payed for i'm off the grid i get cheques from the electricity company and the government for grants, i'd be perfect fine. and i'm not going to throw the agreement seeing as u never read it. maybe next time u should u might actually learn something.

    I can't seem to edit my last post, so here is my 4th.

    I'm not investing any time or pennies on a company that cares nothing about the long and rich history of the game, and blindly follows the "advice" of the full-time forum posters who never spent their time really playing. Or maybe the company was just too lazy to read anything. Either way, they stole my favorite game.
    I'm just sick and disgusted over the callousness displayed toward loyal helpers (players).

    cool maybe if we all stop spamming the forums and maybe quell our emotions we might actually get a response from papaya on whats going instead they probably look at the forums as if its not worth their time to talk to emotionally unstable people complaining about one of their decisions and won't see reason from anyone that backs up papaya's decision to wipe.

    If I think giving new players the boost presents would have been the better idea, but at least they got around to effectively telling loyal players, and payers, of the past, "Thanks for the Memories." Now on October 18th I can be doing other things.

    Adventuring was my only real motivation for playing. I learned a lot from UWO - things to research and even when they messed around with history (Wallenstein and Christina), it was close enough to facts to be forgivable.What I can't see doing is doing 2k+ adventures again. There's nothing to learn from doing it, so it is merely going through the motions. Sailing a barca again might be cute for a hour, but there must be other games where learning is part of the play.

    I do hope the game flourishes so others can have fun while learning about more about the world. So to Papaya Play, or more appropriately, to Koei, I say - thanks for the memories.

    Who made this decision exactly? Did they know about the game and its issues or just decided to wipe and start fresh with their new plan in mind? They have NO IDEA the effort involved with just such simple things as unlocking access to ports and port development. Not a very wise move at all. All of you who cried for a wipe also had no idea what you were asking for either. When the game was younger and had many more players, it took concerted efforts to unlock all of these things!!  Now, with a greatly diminished player base, how do they/you expect these things to happen?

    I keep hearing people talk about their "hard work", and wanting to be "compensated" for the money they spent on a game.....

    I guess I have a different outlook than most people nowadays.
    1.  If a game is seen as "work", then it is not an entertaining endeavor and should be abandoned by that person anyway.
    2.  Monies and time spent to further someone in a GAME should be viewed as well spent and rewarding in their own light.  In my opinion, once that money and that time has been spent and enjoyed, to claim that you are being cheated or otherwise wronged by a game being restarted by a NEW HOST, or even losing support like so many MMO's have in the past, is a waste of time and effort.  
    We do not know the real reasons that OGP decided to end support for the game and it is now going to be run by Papaya, and probably never will.  On the other hand, we can make some educated guesses.  Here are a couple feasible reasons:
    a. It was no longer profitable for OGP.  In which case, Papaya resetting the game and starting over is a smart decision, to try and bring in an influx of new players and stop the losing trend.
    b. Server issues and/or coding problems were outpacing support.  In which case a full wipe and reset can give the new support team a chance to "work from the ground up" and fix these issues.

    imo this isn't about how fast to get high-end level and stuff.. this is about how hard for those who are lately super busy with irl stuff or can't have another few years to play...
