Stuff this for a game of soilders. I am not going to play UWO when it restarts and this will be may last post. I hope you all have fun in whatever game you decide to play in the future .

    Sorry to see any potential friend or enemy leave, the more the merrier on the seven seas!

    a few people will leave but many more will return because of the wipe. Seeing what happened in the following weeks when Netmarble changed over to full greed mode. Its only a matter of time before the word gets out and these people start coming back.

    Fair winds to you, Wendy. I know how you feel, and am sorry to see another name added to the list of departing players. As this continues on, the few who may or may not return to a wiped server won't find much left to return to, or to encourage them to stick around, I fear.

    Goodbye to you Wendy, not sure how long Lug and I will hang around either. My curiosity will get the best of me, and I will log in to see what happens. I just don't see why we should stay either. I will miss you my friend, counter-trolling with you was always fun. Good luck and happiness to you.

    There will be new players who will replace the old. But I guess we will see how when 18 Oct arrives.

    NOT ALOT, just some. it's ok, Do we really need a server full of people who pride their wealth in-game over the general health of a server full of people?

    @ Idsadar, No offense, but each person has their own personal reasons to stay or go, your pointing and saying " I hope everyone is happy that a lot of old players quit this game..." does not change their own personal choice.  Everyone should be respected for their choices to either play or leave the game.  No one should be finger-wagged! If you want to leave I wish you all well if staying, well we got some work to do.

    Wendy, Good luck in all you do out there you will be missed.

    One of the biggest mistakes that can be made is misunderstanding the sense of community and friendship that a unique and challenging environment can create. But it is also the right combination of people who will help, share-out, create things that were not given; essentially go above and beyond for community members.  
    UWO has a large contingency of multi-degreed (rarely flaunted), talented (again), & amazing self-taught (!!)  interested players that will likely go elsewhere and make other places as amazing as UWO has been.   I would hope that Koei, et al, would think twice about some of the planned heavy-handedness (to quote another UWO friend) that seems to be in store for UWO.

     You were one of my favorite players. I will miss you. It appears they are going to go back to NM style piracy. Combine that with a wipe and we have a game that will not last long enough to make it worth starting over. Have fun elsewhere.

    sorry no sympathy here glad u had fun with uwo for 7 years if u ever do come back and ur likely too , say hi 'm sure i'll still be here in the game despite everyone trying to get me to quit but hey atleast u won't be around to add to that. so farewell all those that can't accept reality

    I joined UWO in 2009. Its sad all that hard work will go down the drain. But on the bright side i always wanted to know what it felt like when UWO started for the first time, and now is the time to experience that rare opportunity.

    I feel the same, I'm really excited to not have to start behind other people. I thought I would never catch up to players who have all max refined skills and OP ships/cannons, so I never really tried. Maybe this time I will focus more on the battle grind and pvp.

    Same for me--was LacisLV played with some players since Beta--but to start all over--no whay--i was one of first that rummors went in Taverns about discoveries--was pure adv but to do all over from scratch--nop sorry :(

    if u were here in 2009 doubt the major towns were even designed in 2009, and dub u wont grind. u could have grinded when u came back this last time a couple years ago, but u never did. so i don't expect to have u in my pirate fleet with r3 cannon/melee skills.
