    I had to vote I am still undecided and I will not return because that is the way I am leaning. The Founder Awards do nothing for me and they have not sufficiently addressed the lost ships everyone had. Couple that with the loathing of having to rechart and reopen EA, it is just not sitting well. I also do not think the player base will be sufficient to carry the game long enough to regrind and reopen everything. The wipe has taken any enthusiasm I have had for the game away. This gap we are in while we wait is actually helping me more and more realize I am likely done. We still have several days though before relaunch.

    @FeartheWicket  I'm with you Caddy. They've broken my heart, and there are just too many lies coming from Papaya. The way I see it, I have a week and a half to really decide. The 18th comes, I'll see what happens then.

    At some point in the future, Papaya may issue a statement on how they have not lied to the UWO community. 

    Alternatively, the entire "General Discussion" thread may be wiped in order to organise the forum. People, including myself, will see this as a justified action. By then, the game is launched and there is no purpose in keeping the posts from the Papaya's viewpoint.

    Do note that there's a difference between making a lie and hiding a truth. The former requires concrete evidence, while the latter is an excellent way of getting out of hot soup by claiming ignorance. This is even when this is deliberate.

    Having being made a partial disabled by a certain SEA developed country years ago and unable to even have a trial and sue the responsible in courts for damages (because the laws of that country are protecting them), I have learnt how to take things easy and move forward. I certainly hope you guys will be able to do the same regardless of your decision to stay or quit UWO.

    I will personally save this particular post somewhere on my hard disk to remind myself what Papaya has done to the community. Months or years later, I may return to see how UWO has evolved, read this particular post, and then see if I am able to trust Papaya again.

    Not coming back . while the freebies would give 6 months free buffs, i still wouldnt come back . I lost ships, astro items i bought from the shop. 7 years of game play down the plughole. we have had no replies from PAPaya play , then when they started to make announcements they LIED . How can you trust them . when will they next reset the server. They are resetting to get players to re=buy all the stuff they had. its like getting on a plane and finding yourself back at your starting airport and the company changes ownership, then asks you to re-buy your ticket
      
    Resetting the server will not make it more balanced , scammers will still scam , griefers will still grief, drama queens will still start drams, resellers will still drive up prices

    Definitely NOT coming back... Papaya wil ldo a reset, has it is expecting a brand new investement from the "vets" to achieve profit easily... Thats the all point of the fcking wipe... Cheap blow on the community expecting a little cash refund from buying UWO... at the cost of the "vets"....

    So... i say.... FU Papaya.... See u all in Hell.... You killed the game even before it launches....

    I have a strange comment, but ALL 3 (and a 4th) of my company's directors were affected by Hurricanes. They were located in the carribean, Texas and two in Florida. One in Florida changed the directorship just after the first hurricane and then the second one hit.
    They did come on for brief periods of time to comment that they were ok and working on cleanup and that electricity was spotty. All are/were big fans of the game.  I did not get any feedback from them as a reset was very inconsequential to them.  I got no indication from them, if they would be returning after the reset.  This will just be one more thing that gets wiped out for them when they think things will get back to normal.

    None... its about skills, ships (not a ship), quarters, private island, discoveries.... Everything... You cant just kill everything everyone has made... I had alot of refined skills... spent alot of time doing it... and now... i get robbed just cause they feel like doing a wipe??

    Hell no, im not going on that road again.... to long... to much....

    i read thru most of the posts over the last 36hours and made no comments to see what would be said and i seen my name being tossed around in a few posts, frozenruby and her million alts, and such quite funny on my end to see it, but i see alot of posts about the founderpack not being good enough for most players. i have also seen that players don't care what they got out of that pack.

    i see that the pack will give u a significant boost to ur lvling skill building and fame and sail around at a faster speed. i also see the many items they are giving as well plenty of stuff u can save to use later down the road.  i do see no ships in the packs and that should be that way. we don't need ships given to us for free they have given us enough don't u think. 

    now i have read over the comments about papaya having our data but not avoid the wipe. i have to say they may have either part of the player data or atleast have the character stats for each account. in which case they would only have the info on the character names on each account and their respective lvls probably on a spreadsheet or similar system document.

    I know you are optimistic about all this and that is fine. It is not about a single ship that would help sway me one way or the other. The player population has a diverse play style and one type ship would not work. Each player already had ships that were conducive to play for the players style and those are supposedly gone even though they were not the cause of imbalances. Quite honestly your other forum posts show you have no concern for anyone but yourself. So, when the game relaunches go spend your money on UWC and have at it. I hope no one else though spends a dime. Papaya is playing a con game and can follow OGP.

    i understand that you view the game in such a way that is unique to your point of view and values, but please think on it if papaya was truely behind the wipe and didn't care for its newly aquired playerbase why would they give us a compensation package with more then $300 in astro items, each that would be more of a hit to their economy then giving us nothing.

    Papaya is showing a complete disregard about our efforts in the past... the hours we spent grinding skills... and you really think they can make it up with a few talismans??? Do they give you insta lvls or do i have to spend endless hours grinding it all again?? I really think your missing the point here... Im not gonna spend endless hours of my life redoing everything i've achieved so far in the game... Thats just plain dumb... Thats why this game future is short.... You can spend money in it... and i truly believe you will... and like rangerzfan said... i truly hope you're the only one dumb enough to do it...

    Like i've been saying on most my post... if they keep this up.... FU Papaya... Game over...

     Wrong. They think this small reward will cause these vets to stay and eventually spend more. It is really nothing to them. Do you not realize these items are worth nothing? If the vets do not come back, they will not be giving out the rewards anyway. If they vets come back, but quit for a short while, Papaya has still lost nothing as said vets would have spent nothing anyway. If the vets stay permanently but spend nothing, Papaya is still out no money because the vets would have bought nothing anyway. If the vets stay and spend, they are almost certainly going to spend a lot more than the value of the reward. Therefore the rewards are either tie or win for Papaya. In no circumstance will hey lose by giving the rewards.
     These rewards are carefully calculated to attempt to entice vets to stay without giving away an amount greater than the minimum they think necessary. If you really believe this proves they were not behind the wipe and that they care about the players, you are quite naive.

    Although a few of those Founders Awards were ok, many are unusable. If you have been in the game for as long as you say, you know the use of those things and why many are not usable until the game is developed. There are no SB, so why ship parts? No Nanban, so why NPCs? Forging tools for what weapons or armour? The AVR don't even remotely replace the lost levels and skills of Vet's aides. Oh sure Papaya made an attempt and I will give them credit for that, but they are showing they do not understand the game. Or they do and it is going to be a cash grab by them from those that try to address the reset world. The toons may be wiped, but the loss in port development, aide development, farm development, quarters development, charting, EA development, and ships seem to be overlooked or not even understood. You have been in this game long enough to know this is not some simple toon wipe issue. Again, I do hope you and others have fun in the relaunched world. But I also hope no one but you spends a dime.

    If you want to know what was fair is not doing what they accused OGP of doing. How do we know really of it was OGP who erased all the data and not this new server

    Ok, heres the deal... we all suffered alot grinding, charting, etc... we all achieved alot... Papaya doesnt care.... All they want is our money... and i bet with you... if all players agree on this ofc...First year of play no one puts money on the game... and i bet.... Papaya closes the game on month 5 to 7... Cause all they want is money... like every other god damn game company... and if the game doesnt cash in... they will close it... shitting on every one again...

    I never said I was mad. Maybe a little cause I lost some good stuff and all that hard work I did but will do it again and build UWO up again as long as others try to do it also

    It might take time and work but we all need to do our part and yes gonna be a pain to grind all the skills again but oh well just not happy about doing the boring schools again
