The Player Community needs to convince Development to Stop the Wipe

    Papaya is gonna wipe, there is nothing we can do about it now.  but as to their claim all the data has been lost.  I'm one of those poor idiot loosers who cheated by using facebook to log in.  On the sheet they wanted me to fill out they wanted to check my answers to my account with my levels, my skill levels, the ships I had in inventory, ships i had in storage, money i had and any special items i had.  So they could check it against my account, which was wiped but they needed the info to check against the account.

    Everyone more or less has lost its previous characters and items, but a lot of players when they began found things ready. Since the wipe is inevitable why dont we all relax and enjoy the game from the very best beginning? When you start other games do you start from the beginning or do you send emails to the company that has the game to transfer you to level X? 6 more days mates, lets see how it will be and try to enjoy the game exploring it from zero!

    hate me for saying this but I willing wipe... 
    reason:I was around 90 total lvl and only playing for fun at my empty weeks(wich is like every 3-4 month XD) and never bought thing
    yea.... I kinda hit jackpot with founder rewards too because of this :/

    Also here is my respond to wipe as a player who knows that server reset hurts a lot: It doesnt matter a lot if you worried about power level between you and others since this game was old almost everyone at max potantial they can reach... this may cause new players be welcome even more wich will refresh community... 

    I will not share name of game that I experinced server wipe since it will be aganist rule but I was having even more fun in that game after wipe althought I lost all my investments... I just bought less I must admit but it was better

    also:Dont have papayaplay for that: If they didnt buy game in time game should be shutted down instead consider this (usually if a company thinking about selling game he is ready to abandon it too)

    This change and reset has actually brought me back and renewed my interest in UWO. I always had an innate distrust of OGP, and was reluctant to give them any money. To start this game from the beginning, from scratch, makes me really look forward to playing this game. It's too bad about those who had such an investment, but, it what it is.

    Perhaps you should reconsider what games are, forget levels, forget 'progress', and play them for fun. Investments have a return. Did you invest so much in a game, just to have no return? Why didn't you have fun?

    Change is simply a natural state of being. Go through the phases of death acceptance, deny and keep trying to get things changed. Be angry that you can't change them. When you finally accept them, enjoy the game for what it is.

    Okay, so I know that I was not a veteran player in terms of the sense that I was always on, or have played consistently for 6 years or anything of the sort, but I too will miss the fact that my character data was not transferred, but here is what I will say about the situation.

    The argument is all between whether or not OGP destroyed the data, or if Papaya has said data, but is not willing to transfer it back into the server. The other part of the argument is how Papaya will institute founder rewards if they do not have the data. Data for games is stored on multiple different, even millions, of files. Data for character levels can be kept on one file, while data for items or other features could be (and are often) kept on completely different files. It is completely feasible that due to the transfer of information between the two companies was limited to only certain files, which is exactly why it is possible for Papaya to not have the access, or the ability to reinstate full account information. 

    This whole argument depends on knowing how OGP maintained their game files, how information was stored, and plenty of other factors. Unfortunately, for all of us, this is information that we will likely never know and we are unable to change this fact.

    All that each of us can do is decide for ourselves whether we will come back and play again, or not. I hate to say it, but I highly doubt any number of petitions, calls, inquiries, etc. will change the fact that there is a server wipe, and our "founders gift" is the best that we can hope to receive from Papaya.

    That is just my two cents on the whole situation.
