I am planning to play this game with friend(he is new I know until starting nanban and bad at crafting)

how flexible should we be? is it ok if he become maritime while I am merchant? or someting like that? or will this cause us to do someting very diffrent and actually start doing diffrent things?

    Whatever you choose to do you can talk to each other over school/ company chat. So it will feel like you can share and socialise.

    I'd say it was best to take a job which suits you and what you want to do.
