Advanced stern castle already in lottery.

This server has turned into pay 2 win from day 1.

Turtle nerfed, next thing will be forced deck battle with infinite forge / transmutation on gears.

    I had somehow the same feeling as well, some items might create an unbalanced server again sooner or later. They implemented CSships and money cheques as well, so not only unfair PVP but also an unstable economy is allready been stimulated. Lets hope they will however manage some of those issues later so they eventually will turn out well.

    Seems optimistic to hope they'll manage issues later.  The purpose of a server wipe is moot if economy management comes later.

    Correction, they did save the server at the cost of murdering pvp.

    I feel lucky that i had attended the tournament in ogp for 4 times and got 2 champions, a second and a third.

    As for those who spent most of the time nanbaning for a good ship, the loss is permanent and irreversable.

    We still can play adv. just two 2x lvl 1 toon and pirates cannot attack you. Free permanent blue flag.

    Do they really think players are going to want to compete against other players wallets... The game just launched and you can already just buy your nations success with real money, making it pretty much pointless to level tradeskills or invest, just let the wallet warriors do the work.

    Thanks papaya for not listening... Free 2 play game not worth alot of effort, cant support your cash shop when you alienate all traders like this. Please remove investment bonds from the cash shop and stop selling ducat Checks or UWO will not keep its players around for long.

    OK, I did see someone cruising in a custom vaisseau yesterday, which had to come from the event tickets, and that was kind of irritating. But I think you can still do pretty well as a free player, much better in fact than if the game went away for good. And founders get some free cash, so it's not all bad news.

    CV is from the Guns n Rum pack, which was available at launch (for beginners tab, I think).  Doubt it was from an event ticket.

    @Oberill

    I assume the turtle nerf is a reference to deck battle reimplementation.  The packs (rainmaker, guns n rum, and an adventure one I can't remember the name of) are in the in-game UWC store, and they include ships, though they're only starter/mid-game ships.

    Check the email your account is linked to ....there is an email explaining some of the changes and that turtle ships were nerfed (not that it matters as there are no turtle ships anymore)

    Just watch that UWO will be at peak at no time because players already spent on Investment Bonds. Some items in cash shop are op.

    I agree about turtle ships, they are worthless as scrap heaps now since they lost melee immunity while did not get compensate to replace it. The turtle ships are consider pure defensive form then they should have buff their armour big time.

    You didn't think they were going to take a pay 2 win game, that has been pay 2 win, besides like the first 8 months, and turn it into a non pay 2 win game did you? Pay 2 win mmos with gambling shops are everywhere. There are almost 0 games with out a pay 2 win gambling shop. Even single player games have them now.

    In a usual relaunch, the publisher would let the game go uninterrupted from premium content at least for half a year before gradually introducing premium content. Thus free players do not have disadvantage at early-mid stage while having a somewhat fixable disadvantage in mid-late stage.

    Introducing premium content in day 1 after a relaunch, especially that the premium content contains sophiscated battle ships with low level requirement before any shipbuilders emerge, that really unbalances the game for a bad beginning.

    If the relaunch begins badly, why would anyone think it could go well later?

    @b15h09 there are Custom Vaiss in the tickets and there's other ships in there including MHAX, ETradingClipper, ModClipper and the only one i don't understand because its rather high level in comparison a CSurv Halve Maen, but theres also even more clutter in there with many in game obtainable items and tons of junk. without even a recycle option.

     its bottle system at its worst... made worse somehow.

    oh yeah there is also Agile La Royale... at least is not LLM, if i am not mistaken each try is around 2$ while the packs with a ship warranted are 55$ or so...

    Even if you do  money the chance of getting a ship has to be around 1 in 100 event tickets I tried and gave up at 50 event tickets. Complete waste of money and will never spend a cent on this game again.

    I saw serious-advantage-cash-shop items floating around within my first 12 hours of play.

    God, I hope they don't screw the pooch, with this game... but I've also had issues dealing with their CSR team about not receiving any of my Founders Items so far, so I don't get a warm, fuzzy feeling about this current game or company.

    to all the crying bitches yes that means you pirates. you finally suck enough bananas 8lllllllllllllllllD~~~~~~~ to get your way.. and now papaya has pretty much said fuck us merchants with the turtle nerf improved hold that can be plundered. and letting people buy premium ships from day one .by the time most merchants can get a good ship pirates will be leveled up and have everything they need to kill this game like they done last time. at least the money grubbing bastards yes thats you papaya will make some cash before they kill this game

    Well in another forum people think that any that use alts should not be allowed cause it kills the game economy and not the cash shop and any that doesn't agree with their thinking are idiots and should be banned

    OMG heads full of rocks the lot of ya.

    Pirates are as much a part of the UWO world as any other job class be it mrch, SBer or whateve. Sailing fleets of 10 ships counting ya alts an aides is a little more fited to UWNH n really ya want to cry about pirates go play an old single player Uncharted Waters and check out how NPC pirates behave.
