    You know you are the kind of person that reminds me of one who was all for the wipe and to un nerf pirates. You keep saying stuff that make no sense. People are going to sell stuff according to how much work and time it took to get the stuff they worked hard to get, but oh yeah in your mind it is a fleet of 1 player and his alts as a fleet of five instead of 5 people working together. If you are not happy with what is going on you got 2 choices. Play the way you want to play or quit but not to find ways to say people are doing things and yet have no proof of what you are saying.     how is it makes no sense? ah well you'll see it when "a group of families" wielding excalibur, fragarach and sell for low....how do adventurers make money then? 

    Dont ask cpc and her method its kinda stupid, because YOU NEED TO USE YOUR BOTS too to get venice map archives to get what it called? MST? or whatever it called to repair cloth and the naples one for weapon....

    There is ways to make money even as a adventure. In UWO trade merchant and adventurer is supposed to work together if you want to do adventure you can make money with discoveries and you can change to a merchant and make spice runs at Calicut There is no way you can't tell me you can't make money. There is many options open to do so. If you want to do adventure and nothing else then that is your choice but don't complain people are making money in game and you are not. That is your choice but don't knock people that are taking the time to make money and cry about it saying every fleet you see are alts going after a sword to sell it. That is their choice and others choice who buys the things being sold cause they are making the money

    First off who is stupid my name is Ace so get it right and people charge what they want so why not get off your high horse and except it for what it is. People use the money they make by buying stuff they need so why not think before you talk. A lot of those people don't or can't afford to buy things in the UWC shop so they find ways to make money in the game, But hey you have to be right which you are being the one who is stupid

    @pekkauwer   if someone did tell you to sell your excalibur at 100k let me tell theres something called trolls, and killadub and gindracon who would offer that low legitimately... as far as i remember its one excalibur per user no? while i do collect my own swords so selling any never crossed my mind, if you wanted to sell one have you though of.... selling yours for 900m instead of 1b? if the problem is you wanted to buy one for 1 ducat like you said a few comments ago well that is not fair price is robbery! sucks to be you that you cant steal from a newbie.

    I was going to reply, but I can't really figure out what pekkerwater is trying to say. So I'll just give a general stick your head in the toilet to those who disagree with my wisdom, and nice choice to those who accept it. And I lost over 10bil in the wipe along with all of my NC ships, but one thing I'm not doing is sobbing like a girl scout who get her cookies stolen.

    Seriously, I have tried to read this through... and while I also play with a single character (at least for now), I really don't like your attiude, OP.
    For once, this game is not done per se to be played with alts, but it is allowed on this server, it also requires quite a lot of micro-management (at times), and it can cost you that much more if you get caught by pirates.
    I am playing ADV main and I can make money at any time I want. I just have to switch to trading for a bit, which is also an essential part of adventuring and traveling... the part about finding money to sustain your adventuring.
    Also, you can sell ADV-stuff, and people do buy it.
    Also, 5 Excaliburs for 1B each... how many, do you think can buy it? There are indeed some, but not as many as you would want. Good luck selling a couple in a short time.
     All in all, I don't like alts, I prefer to play solo, but if people want to play with them, by all means, let them do it. More stuff in game essentially means lower prices.

    I just want to say that I have G6ed all of my ships in the past with no alts and no help, just one toon (and a storage toon that has never left port).
    I can admit that I had to do a lot of ship juggling and it would have been easier with an alt, but it can be done.

    No one that I have seen has argued the usefulness of alts for skills and item storage.
    It's the use for nanban goods that people seem to have an issue with. No one can say that bringing back 5x as much nanban goods does not put 5x as much cash into the economy. Math is math.
    If you believe that is ok, you are on one side of the arguement. If you are against it, the other side. Anyone that claims it does not inject extra cash into the economy needs to return to 2nd grade math class, or perhaps my 8 year old son could explain it to you.
    But at this point the game allows foe it so it is what it is.
    I think Papaya is trying to make as much money as they can as quickly as they can (scares me about the long game) with the new event tickets have such high end items already.

    @Culvern - a balanced response and I agree with some of what you say.

    But on the subject of junior school maths - yes if you put more money into the economy then you put more money into the economy.

    But that's as far as junior school maths will get you.

    What happens to money once it's in the economy is a whole different problem.

    You should read a post by CrazyPsychoChick on another thread, where she talks about the re-sellers and the Seville 'mafia'. There is a whole black economy going on that's hidden from view.

    And that's just one of a number of different angles on the issue of prices.

    Yes - some uses of Alts put extra money into the economy. But I don't think anyone can say definitively whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. It's probably a bit of both.
