@purplepirate
Spartan gave reason and solution in his first post.
if u dont know that someone want to learn something u cant help him too.
so dont blame only maritimers there are both side involved,
i dont know anything about debating but if i want to enter that and play with other advers i would ask FIRST how is it played or what i need to have to be on same lvl, not to jump blindfolded in it.
do u really think someone would ask me what disco cards or ranks or whatever is needed for it i have if i come and join debate?
of corse they would not, why should they, it will be expected that i know
should i be mad blame them on them coz my ignorance?
i usualy dont post much on forum but have nuf of this stupid arguments and non maritimers telling maritimers how they should behave.
just play your game,
not like it?
bon voyage
do u know how many ppl i helped to learn and be maritimers?
no u dont
COZ NO ONE READ FIRST POST OF HIM, just att and qoute what they want
FFS i am out
there u go CPC as you say (u didnt quote anyone) in post above and that is a part u skipping all the time:
"
Because if I came into world chat right now and said to someone ASKING
about nanban learn on your own if you dont when I see you I will pay to
have someone farm you until you quit y'all would be giving me a baptism
by fire right dont lie"
so if they dont ask u will not know what they want to know,
ASKING is a key word
that i mention in a few posts, but no, u all go att Spaty even he posted in first post what ppl need to do.
but well ppl see only that they want to see i guess.
now out for good
farwell forum

I first started doing pvp (esf/bc) events just after the new year of 2017, i had only been playing UWO for 1 year at that point but since i started the game as a trader and only had about 6months experience in maritime by that time i joined my first ESF. When i played my first ESF/mock games, i noticed that it was all pretty much just people with max cannon skills blasting each other but my cannon skills sucked i was only using gunnery/balistics at the time and they weren't anywhere near maxed (let alone refined). However my forte was melee so i didn't really think i needed great cannon skills (big mistake!). During those early days i died ALOT! Mostly from cheesy crit shots from people parking and waiting for me to come out of melee, wow did that ever piss me off >:( but i stuck though it and kept trying.
What changed was that other vets started teaching me advance battle tactics, like how to manouver in battle better as well as how to escape those rear crit shots when coming out of melee, and how to target opponents more efficiently. Over time i practiced those tactics that i learned (from VETS) and became a lot better with a much higher survivability rate. I became so good over time from what i learned, that i was able to enter battles with my MSF (195crew) and go against ROG/COG's (379crew) and win battles! I became such a meleer that i actually changed the format of ESF/BC events where people stopped using cannon ships and shifted over to melee ships spacifically to look for me on the waters to test out their skills against me... And believe me I didn't disappoint! Eventually i became a BH, but found pirates would run from me because they knew they couldn't take me in melee. I could even hold my own against some of the top players in the game :)
This is not bragging, this is a result from learned tactics that vetrans taught me, not from just learning though 'trial and error' on my own. So i think the real point here is that, YES the pvp world is suffering right now but we can build it back if we work together and encourage people to do more maritime instead of chasing away potential players who have an intrest in learning something new. I want to see maritime flourish again and am willing to do my part to make it happen. If not then all of you better get use to having ESF events with only like 15-20 people total! Not much of an 'Epic' war there lol...
Maris has only been up for 3 months now, you can't expect everyone to have gone full maritime grind, so as a result of course pvp doesn't have a huge player base for now. But it won't get any better if people discourage new players instead of building up the player numbers from farming them. This isn't rocket science people, ok so you're done grinding your skills now what? Are you just gonna sail around being the only person in the game with useless skills because there's nobody else to fight or are you going to use your time now to build up players so that we can have those large scale events again? If you don't want to help others with your experience then fine, go play by yourself but don't complain about it. I for one want large groups again for both the challange and for for excitement that there will always be people out there to play with.
NEXT TIME RUN AN EVENT THAT ALL CAN TAKE PART.
NOT JUST AN EVENT FOR A FAVORITE CLIQUE.
Just like races are for adventure or investment feuds are trade.
Perhaps constructive suggestions would be better than complaining about an event. Who knows perhaps they listen.
You said your self.
Then you wonder why no one answers you in world Chat, when you ask for people to come play Battle Campaign
Having a event that all can take part is not a childish demand. It is a fair demand that takes in account of all the different players in the server with out an undue focus on one group.
The evidence is all here to see.
IT was not a good event
Culvern I do not think they are listening to the community, I do not think they really care all all about the community,
The server wipe proved that. The server shutdown proved that, the way they hid it from us proved that.
No one will forget that.
