Once again, and again, and again.......
Everyone is terrified about this change yet it has had nearly no actual impact!
I am a pirate and yet I don't endorse this change either. But I also don't see why everyone is spazzing out.

If the change has no actual impact, remove it then.

I am not saying everyone of us here is a grown up man, but many of us here is able to see what's logical and what's not.

That change brings too much impacts on all other non-pirate players and make pirate players the kings of the game.

I am not here to be a food that fits the appetite of the non stop demanding pirate players so Papaya can continue to earn their money.

Don't drag me in into this unwanted mess in their profit battles. I am out if the change is implemented.

Dude, you need to calm down and try to think normally.

Papaya is ONE BIG GAME PUBLISHER. Naver is only ONE PLAYER WHO PLAYS PIRATE.

There are 2 logic that points to what you said.

First, if Naver can command Papaya to do this, to do that, single handed, ALONE, by himself, then my advise is: Don't hesitate! Run away from uwo now! Uwo is already dead! Why?

One player can control the entire game? What? You still dare to play in this game? Are you out of your mind? Run faster, don't look back!

I do not believe that kind of bullsh1t. That is why I said it is illogical.

Second, it is Papaya THEMSELVES to decide to reset the server, and make items plunderable enable again in uwo.

Papaya already lean forward to the direction of piracy in game since the start. This does not require Naver to do the job. The "Direction" is already obvious. Papaya tend to focus more on piracy.

No matter how Naver piss how many people in the server, in the past, yeah, but you have to understand, his rights and his freedom of speech must be respected.

If he doesn't want to spend because things does not go into his way, it is his right to do so. Because it is his money.

And if uwo can bankrupt because Naver does not want to spend his money, it is not his fault as well.

Do you get the point?

His money. His preferences. His rights.

We must respect other people's rights, because that leads to everything around in our life.

If we take away one people's rights today, one day the same thing will happen back to us, to the society, that we agreed of, that the majority can decline a person's rights just because they have a greater number to do so.

I disagree with Naver in what he is doing. But I respect his rights. That's all. It is not that I support what he is doing.

Making petition.
Launch a boycott.

Threaten the authority.

Stop spending in game.

These actions, will not bring a game to its bankruptcy.

Today, there are thousands of games in the world, available for you to choose. So say that if you are rich, very very rich, you can throw 10k usd per month into the game you like.

And you have your own ideas and preferences how the game should run, in the way you want and you like it to be.

So, can you repeat those 4 actions mentioned above, and see if you can collapse any games out there?

No... You can't.

Be logical. Be rational. You can't.

The reason why uwo has reached till today's situation, is not entirely caused by Naver.

The greatest cause of all reasons, is when Papaya reset the server? That is the greatest damage Papaya has done to this game.

So you cannot blame Naver entirely. He has his rights to make his demand. He has his rights not to spend.

Many advised Papaya by that time. Beg them. Ask them. Threaten them. It doesn't work then, so it makes no sense that it can work now.

If almost the entire players of a server cannot stop Papaya from resetting the server, what makes you think Naver can force Papaya to implement the non stop farming? Alone, by himself?

It makes no sense. It is illogical.

Papaya believes piracy can revive the game back into its golden state. Naver just happen to be on the right side of their points of thinking.

Don't blame on Naver entirely on this incident. Stop the blaming on that poor guy.

He has done nothing wrong.
He does not hack the server? He doesn't.

All he did, is he just voice his demands, and inform Papaya that he will not spend if things do not go his way.

He is exercising his rights.

The same with me as well. I do not like this change, and I do not support it. So if they continue their ways, I believe there is no point playing here anymore, so I quit. That is too my right isn't it?

So I am the same with Naver. So am I wrong? No I am not. Neither is Naver.

You people must learn how to respect other people's rights. And you must understand one fact clearly. Naver, one person, cannot bring uwo down. If uwo is going down because of this change, it is because the game is already too old, and a lot of damage and wrong decisions done from the past, that caused it.

Stop blaming that poor guy and put all the burden and unpleasant pressure on him just because you all do not like him. This is cyber bully on net.

Whether you believe he influenced or not if papaya changed to 1 hour nobody complained at all then naver starts carrying on and on and ONLY HIM btw then all of sudden PP changes it to exactly as he stated then claim its simply a COINCIDENCE then maybe you're just naive.

Please explain this why did they change to 1 hour then made this "coincidental" change all of a sudden to farm everyone that only ONE player asked for....ill wait

Money talks bs walks and yes one player CAN control a game and push their influence it its happened before don't believe me?? Go into chat right now and ask about the legend of Saul Caine or how about this ask your friend Naver about Saul Caine they have quite an "interesting" history and report back here and tell me that 1 player cant push his influence into the game.

Players have manipulated their way up in this game to get what they want many times before It ain't nothing new. I've seen people get their "friends" in CA program seen Players talk to GM OUTSIDE the game seen players weasel into GM position then ban their enemies and get rules changed like enstatment of PLUNDER NERF. Seen players get with GM to go after players they didn't like. So as illogical as it seems it HAS happened before.

What I can't wrap my head around is this...if someone is SO SURE this is what is needed to fix UWO to the point he wanted to push this on all of us DESPITE our objections and pleas to compromise then why be so afraid to attached a name to it why try to distance him from it now I mean if so sure why so scared to attach his name to it??? Fair question...

To be clear. I am not in favor of this change.
I think the 1 hour rule was fair and fine.

It's all the crazed ranting about it that surprises me since it really has has no affect.

I pirate all day. I get nearly nothing from plunder.
Seriously. A shipyard sail or figurehead is my most common plunder.
At most 1.5m is the cash I get.
And 80% of the time it's a tribute and 100k....

Just make the tributes worth something usable and I would be rejoicing.

@Culvern what kills me the most is that everyone is focusing on 'pirate plunder' and that only pirates can do it. I BH and have gotten great stuff form plundering pirates. The best items i've taken from pirates so far are Koxinga Papers and Tamsui Sea War Chronicles, masters cannons and masters HP's. Sometimes I even catch them with large sums of money on them as well :)

Point is that you don't have to be a pirate to plunder, what these traders/adventurer's need to realize is that they can VERY easily turn the tables on this whole 'pirate' issue by grinding land battle and plunder then forcing pirates into deck! they won't be farming anyone if you keep plundering their high value items like that from an encounter. And considering you can make over 1b per day doing dungeons (if you do them right) and grind your trade lvl's/fame from all the goods you get to sell. I'm surprised that more traders/adventurers aren't better at defending themselves...

Oh my pirates, pirates can plunder now back to back - oh damn i am pissed scared, i quit quit quit - i will take my whole group and quit. :)) Since it started, i still see the ones saying they will quit playing like normal - hahaha. What a bunch of whinners. Oh yeah, think someone really did quit as he said but still flood the uwo forums - how pathetic.

Well, pirate rules have changed to its somewhat original state, i have been nanbaning since it started and really omg don't see what those whinners are having a fit about, really ppl - grow a pair of ding-dongs please.

Please PP, make this a permanent thingy - i see much live in uwo now unlike some whinners whom can read the future as they claim. Oh yeah, will keep supporting you guys as long as you keep hosting this game for me to play however the game rules are set - my choice to login anyway.

Hahaha, what a bunch of jokers. Hope you whinners didn't pee in your pants on the first day of rules change.

PS. For the newbies - this is how it was. If you can't handle it, its not your fault and perhaps you should try another.

The thing that I think ticks off players the most about this change is this... It's not so much that it's whining its these reasons...

1. It's a complete slap in the face to people who actually fought for pirates to have more influence in the game ie. Removing 24-hour immunity, 100% improved hold nerf, pushing for spoils to be worth something. Including the majority of traders that made the argument that pirates are players too let's give them more liberty and find a solution that helps both. So screw us right? As long as you're benefitting from it right?

2. It completely spits on the idea of a compromise to make everyone happy it basically says Traders screw what you think PIRATES bring home the bacon we care only what THEY think. The changes MOST people asked for 30mins to 1 hour, no attack for 5mins while at sea was ignored in favor of the minority.

3. Its not a majority of players that asked for this from what we've seen its been ONE player if it was the majority against it like with the 24-hour rule or 100% improved hold then I'd say ok fine most wanted it. Is this the case here? Nope! You catering to one person over us all. What are you trying to say his opinion matters more?

4. The pirates are quick to call people whiners and benefit from this change but don't want to take the blame if the 23rd rolls around and they make it permanent and the vast majority QUIT. When I ask you guys can we blame you supporters personally Y'all scattering away like NYC Roaches So it appears you have the desire to have this change but no guts to stand by if it causes irreparable harm if it causes people to quit en mass on the 23rd. Don't you find that cowardly? This is why I keep asking supporters if they will take responsibility if it fails it shows just how "confident" the supporters of this change really are in it and what your TRUE motives are ie. all benefit no desire of consequence.

5. Lastly, this one ticks me off... There is a group of players you know who you are that are going around trying change the narrative of where this change came from sometimes blatantly lying about it, saying oh it didnt come from you know who it was all PP that came up with this or saying oh no player has or can influence this change in any way or even saying who's to say the PP even listened to a player for this change. This is insulting to our intelligence after WE ALL WATCHED IT happen for months going on and on and on week after week after week ONE player then suddenly it happens. I'll put this out there so you all can see it clearly.. PP DID NOT change to 1 hour immunity then "randomly" get to this change GTFOH. Y'all trying to save face and trying to deny what happened and what WE ALL SAW and that's not right you can't just ignore all that crap and pretend it never happened to escape the blame.

If all the CA's asked the GM to do this where are they? If a GM came up with this ALL BY HIMSELF where he at?

Other than that I don't see see the point of this thread since the GM already has one for discussing the matter.

what u mean they can't? just cause it didn't succed doesn't mean anything.

Did u get a message when using it saying waiting on other party or something like that? cause it's also based off stats. Like i have Assault deck battle on AgLR and if they have decent stats it doesn't go in instant, takes a few times. So i imagine w/o ADB it's kinda hard to get to deck. I've not tried it w/o

I'm going by reports from players who've tried and found out the hard way. Once turned blue they could enter deck with the same crew/ship/etc without issue.

You need to be blue or red named to force deck.

Even if whites could, odds are a trader won't ever be able to with the crew difference anyway.

It is more about the pirates, their plunders and their non stop farming.

I am now more worried given the current situation the way Papaya handle all their games under their company, will the game reset another time if they don't continue to host when a new company take over, or there won't be any reset at all given the game is ended. All the time I grind and play would be a waste. From those who had left earlier is starting to give me a feeling that are those guys the smart ones who had smelled this earlier. Either way, my confidence to papaya really drops near the bottom. It takes too long for them to handle an issue, and players kept being pissed off. I don't know now, I am confused.

i got repeated plundered last week... lost 1 rosewood plate and 1 master cannon (1818) didn't get them back.

ya it sucked loosing money i put into CFT's but it certainly doesn't make me want to quit the game lol.
