Cannot log in through Steam

Greetings,

I just got Uncharted Water Online through Steam. After I read through all the introduction texts and select the server, the game reported that there is a database error while authenticating, and brings me back to the title page. Family view is disabled, and I cannot bring up the steam overlay either, Is there something I am missing here?

    I have the same problem. I have submitted a ticket to Support. May I suggest that you do the same.

    Additional to the above problem. I tired to log in to the game again. This time a screen popped up inviting me to create a new account which seems logical. However, when I tried to do so, even using an email address different from the one I currently use for direct access, I got a message that I was "not allowed" to create a new account.
