I have Weathered Sails and Weathered Cannons from Sea of Wonders, but don't know where the recipes are for using them or what they will make. Any help would be appreciated.
The best place to find recipes is on ivyro database. The site is a little outdated, but you should find recipes for those items there. Just type the item into the search bar near the top of the page and it'll take you to the item and show you the recipes for stuff you can make with them. gl :)
Already went to Ivyro, - Weathered Sails, Cannon, and Armour are listed, but there are no recipes for what can be done with those items. No stats either for any of the weathered items.
hmmm, i know that ripped and broken items have recipes listed. Those weathered items are probably needed for special recipes (maybe alchemy) that are coming out soon. I'd keep them anyways since they can stack, never know what's coming.
Supposedly someone said that there are recipes on the Korean server, but I don't know how to access that server to check, or how to get a recipe to work off that server.
Did it say where these recipes were kept, or what book they are out of, or how to access the recipes when they are released?
Also what is fire lizard engraving? Also what is Oleicus?
I have never understood why someone would go to the trouble of making armor where the speed loss is greater than the armor strength gained. Kind of like creating a "sitting duck" made out of iron.
This is not a "look forward" at all, but something we have had since the last year of Gama.
These items were used to make the best cannons before 18s could be made at Manchester - transmuted cannons (16) of various types made in your quarters with alchemy skill at the transmutation alchemy bench using 1 weathered cannon + 1 orichalcum + 10 salamander seals and different trade goods (determining the cannon type you get). Some of them arguably better than the 18s, but made obsolete now with hyper cannons. The transmuted volkans were maybe the most popular.
There is no great success when making the transmuted cannons so need to use 10 cannon forging tools to get max ones. (In contrast to the hyper cannons (18) made in Alexandria using strange cannon, and the old grand cannons (16) made using broken cannon at the weaponsmith at ganador command center - all these as well as "normal" cannons you can get up to 5 tiers of great success on, where one tier is +16 / +18 piercing power).
We have had these recipes and weathered cannon/sail/armour from ancient ganador since transmutation alchemy was released; it is not something new with sea of wonders.
An Alchemist helped me take my 5 weathered cannons and turn them into a modified cannon 16, with a base piercing power of 1440. That was great, but cannons have a reloading speed of only 1.
I know how to increase the piercing power to the max of 1568, but are there any alchemy recipes for increasing the reloading speed of cannons?
If not, that would be a new cool thing to add to the list of UWC stuff you could buy, or skills you could acquire.
Imagine rapid fire cannons with a piercing power of 1568. Those would be awesome cannons, even if they were only 16's and not 18's.
Historically speaking, galleys of any kind were never Big Ocean going vessels, and it doesn't seem historically accurate that galleys are the best vessels for battle in this game. Maybe it would good if galleys would not be able to use the best cannons in the game. It would kind of even the odds.
Just a thought, appreciate yours comments as well.
