Uncharted Waters Origin caught my eyes when I watched Hanyrang's videos.



Then I was looking for info regarding that game ,but I wasn't able find any.

    Sir… what is this? Is this a new horizon game coming out and did I just see its available on mobile??? That's hot.

    I can't understand the Japanese I wonder if it's coming out in America. Omg if it's a mobile game I know imma get fired id never get any work done lol

    LINE Games – Publisher reveals several new mobile and PC games for global market

    Uncharted Waters Origin

    This is a huge one, as Uncharted Waters Origins is a joint project
    between LINE Games and Koei Tecmo, the Japanese IP holder of the
    Uncharted Waters series. Huge numbers were claimed, including over 200
    ports to explore, over 1,000 NPC characters, about 4,000 discoveries to
    be made, and over 1,000 cultural items! Development will be led by
    studio Motif, formed by veterans from Nexon, XLGAMES and Netmarble,
    using Unreal Engine 4.

    Tomokazu Takeda,
    the Producer and Director of Uncharted Waters Online, will be part of
    the core development team as well. Uncharted Waters Origin’s BGM is
    handled by Yoko Kanno,
    who will provide over 100 pieces of music. Uncharted Waters Origin is
    scheduled to launch in 2020 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of
    Uncharted Waters. LINE Games will publish this massive MMORPG on both
    mobile platforms as well as on the Steam platform.

    Aye, they plan to release UW Origin for worldwide in 2020. I am glad that they did not go with just mobile platforms ,so I plan to get it for steam.

    Ahhhh so Uncharted Waters Origin will have a Global release...now if only Papaya Play could somehow purchase the rights to the game then offer some perks and features to players who have accounts in both games that would force the new players to play this game and vice versa...

    This could finally jumpstart Papaya into the massively expanding mobile gaming market they then could have a new game under their belt and then collect money from both UWO and UWOrigin.

    If only this could happen IF ONLY (clears throat) (looks at papaya)

    @YunoAloe why would it ba uwo's closure? Not everyone has unlimited data plans not to mention most won't want to do large scale sea battles (like esf) on a tiny 6 nch screen. Sea battling especially you want to have as much view of the screen as possible. I think if anything, the mobile version will enhance the pc version and bring more players to it.

    I read that the current producer/director from UWO (at KOEI) will switch to Origin, this could be positive or negative considering this man has been steering the helm since pretty much the start.

    It might just mean no more development or new content for this version of UWO.

    At Japan UWO we got new LOST MEMORIES chapter 1 update at august. Considering that we are 9 months behind Japan server and every  episode have 3chapters we are safe for at least  next 21 month

    Yeah, I also heard that there are 2 or 3 more chapters for Lost Memories,so I'd say safe that we will get all updates before UW Origins will release. Remember they updated last 2 so quick ? that's what I like to think they will move on ahead of schedule.

    Also, I heard rumor that it may be delay to release it to worldwide in 2021.

    Hi, CPC, Hope you and Roman are doing well.  You know what Payola Pay is going to do;  they will wipe this game and put it on those horrid $1,000 phones ( that I can't see or even hold.  Yaaaaay!) Bye, CPC and Community, I will miss you.

    Looks promising. Wasn't it foreseen for 2020, well, they have like 2 months left. I guess it is postponed. If i am not mistaking, I actually read about a delay for some reason.

    Anyways, if a launching date is known, please make sure to announce it here ppl!

    The Closed Beta for the Android version is happening right now, I'm not sure if/when a Closed Beta for PC will happen, release for all is listed as 2021. Steam is the only listed server for PC, iOS and Android are the only other ways to play
