5 Min. Timer when disconnected

Is it possible that the 5min timer when disconnected wont reset when you try to relog in abit earlier than 5 mins?

Im playing in the Philippines with an average 300ping and i dont really mind but there are times when my ping spikes causing me to DC.

Ive noticed that when everytime i try to relogin earlier than the mentioned 5 min, the timer resets meaning i need to wait another 5mins inorder to log in.
